Rishabh Pant badly injured in car accident

Star Indian wicket-keeper batter, Rishabh Pant met with an accident while returning home from Delhi. His car was involved in an accident on the road near Hammadpur Jhal, near Narsan boundary of Roorkee. 

According to the doctors, he suffered injuries to his leg and forehead but the condition of Pant is stable at the moment. He is being referred from Roorkee to Max Hospital, Dehradun.

According to eyewitnesses, Pant's car collided with the railing and caught fire. 




As per reports, the cricketer had to break the window glass with his elbow and then got out of the vehicle on his own. It is also understood that the 25-year-old is out of danger, and has sustained no fracture or internal injury but has sustained a ligament tear near the knee and is being carefully examined by the doctors.

“He is under evaluation and a team of doctors is attending to him. Only after some tests can we tell more. As of now, he is stable and there is not much to worry about,” Medical Superintendent at Max Hospital, Dehradun, Dr Ashish Yagnik said.

Earlier, Pant was not included in India's T20I or ODI squad for the Sri Lanka series. He also didn't featured in the ODI series against Bangladesh but made his return in the sunsequent Test series against the Asian side.
