Shreyas Iyer had a stellar Test series against Bangladesh recently and as a result has been rewarded in the latest ICC Rankings for Test batters.

The emerging batter struck a gritty 87 during the first innings of the second Test match, and followed it up with a crucial 29* in a tricky chase in the second innings. As a result, he jumps 10 places to No.16 in the Test batters rankings, and holds 666 rating points.

However, another Indian batter had a downward curve when it comes to the latest rankings. Star batter, Virat Kohli had a poor outing in the 2-match Test series. He scored a mere 45 runs in four innings and dropped two places down to No.14.

In the bowling charts, R Ashwin's heroic performance in the second Test against Bangladesh didn't go unnoticed and he was duly rewarded in the latest ICC Rankings.

He was India's clutch player in both the departments and helped his side to clinch a nail-biting series win. As a result, the wily spinner jumped one place in the bowling rankings to share the fourth spot with teammate Jasprit Bumrah. Both the bowlers have 812 rating points.

Bangladesh batter, Litton Das also saw a surge in his latest Test ranking. He scored a gritty 73 in the second innings of the Test match against India and jumped two places to 12th in the batting charts.
