Afghanistan all-rounder, Mohammad Nabi has made a staggering revelation about his former franchise - Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Days after getting unsold in the IPL mini auction, Nabi has spoken about the environment within the team, stating that the players lost their interest in playing for the franchise.

Nabi, who joined SRH in 2017, said that there were several decisions taken by the franchise which had a negative effect.

Speaking with SportsYari, Nabi said:

"When we [Nabi and Rashid khan] came to SRH in 2017, and the way we played for the next three years, the team combination and performance were the best. But after that, what happened to the team in the last two years, who did it and why; I don't know. Everything from team combination to coaching staff and environment changed."

Nabi also spoke about the way SRH treated Rashid and his former skipper, David Warner, and the impact it had on the team.

"A franchise as big as SRH should think of building the team, rather than destroying it. They should have looked to build a good team slowly rather than making abrupt changes. They let go off Rashid, who was a brand for them for five years. Not just Rashid but other top players too. I don't understand what they wanted to do."

Warner was sacked as the SRH skipper in 2021. Eventually he was released ahead of IPL 2022 season.
