IPL's most expensive player Sam Curran never had any expectations about the price

After an incredible auction for the English stars, Sam Curran topped everyone as he managed to get a deal worth ₹ 18.50 Cr making him the most expensive player in IPL history.

The star all-rounder was on the radar of many franchises including his former one Chennai Super Kings but it was his very first side Punjab Kings that broke their bank to acquire his services.

The versatile player spoke about how he felt before and after the auction. He mentioned that he was quite nervous but somehow managed to get through the tension. However, even after being sold for this much price he admitted to being humbled and happy.

Further, he said that he never had any expectations regarding the price he received. Curran also expressed that he is about to return to the place where his journey in the cash-rich extravaganza started.

"I didn't sleep much last night, was a bit excited, also nervous about how the auction was going to go. But yeah, absolutely overwhelmed and incredibly humbled that I managed to get what I did. I never had any expectations to receive that,

"Obviously, going back to where it all started for me in the IPL with Punjab, where I did my debut season four years ago. So, to be going back there seems fantastic and I am looking forward to joining a few English team mates as well."

Curran will be crucial to Punjab's chances as the youngster will be paired alongside his English teammates Jonny Bairstow and Liam Livingstone.
