In a significant development, English sensation Harry Brook has become the first player to cross the 10-crore mark in the IPL mini-auction.

The bidding war started between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals. However, when the bid increased, RCB backed out and the Sunrisers Hyderabad entered the race.

With the bid crossing 13.20 Crore-mark, Rajasthan ran out of money, which is why SRH finally bagged the services of Brook for a whopping 13.25 Crores.

SRH were expected to go hard after batters, as they already have a formidable bowling unit. However, this move raised a few eyebrows, as Brook lacks experience of playing in Indian conditions.

Nevertheless, as they have bought him, their batting has definitely been strengthened to a considerable extent. But as they have Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram and Glenn Phillips in the squad, it will be interesting to see where they fix Brook in their batting order.
