In a shocking turn of events, India dropped experienced spinner Kuldeep Yadav from their playing XI for the second Test against Bangladesh

Kuldeep's omission was surprising, as he emerged as India's wrecker-in-chief in the first Test, bagging the 'man of the match' award for his twin spectacular outings.

Legendary former India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar also included himself in the long list of critics slamming the management for the blunder.

Speaking to the broadcasters Sony Sports Network, Gavaskar termed Kuldeep's axing 'unbelievable' and reckoned that the chinaman bowler should have played the game irrespective of the pitch.

Here's what Gavaskar stated

"Dropping a Man of the Match, that is unbelievable. That’s the only word I can use and it’s a gentle word. I would like to use quite stronger words, but it’s unbelievable that you left out a man of the match, who got eight out of the 20 wickets,

"You have got two other spinners. So surely, one of the other spinners could have been dropped. But this guy, who took eight wickets should have played today with due respect to what the pitch looks like."

Meanwhile, Bangladesh have suffered early setbacks after opting to bat first in the second Test in Dhaka. As of writing, the hosts are 51 for two in 19 overs.
