It was a fairytale debut for England's youngest ever Test cricketer Rehan Ahmed who grabbed five-wicket haul against Pakistan. The leg-spinner who played for Leicestershire scalped seven wickets in the game where he was crucial to visitors chances.

The 18-year-old after the conclusion of the series posted a Tweet where he remembered his mother, who couldn't be present in the stadium despite his father still being there. Rehan mentioned that it is his mother's prayers that got him where he is right now for which he asserted that he is always grateful.

"I can’t put into words how I feel. Without my mother's prayers, I would never have got to this stage. I’m forever grateful to my mum, who unfortunately wasn’t able to be here with me. However, her prayers are always with me regardless."

Not just Ahmed, but his skipper Ben Stokes mentioned about leg-spinner's mother too where he said that his father was extremely proud and he is pretty much sure that his mother would be proud back home after seeing his incredible performance.
