Injuries are never easy to overcome for an athlete. Jason Sangha's stint in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) 2022-23 was cut-short after the Sydney Thunder captain fractured his collarbone while fielding in an encounter against the Melbourne Renegades.

The promising all-rounder sounded pretty grim and shattered upon returning to Sydney for his appointment to meet a specialist.

Speaking to NCA NewsWire, the 23-year-old called his injury a freakish one that probably will leave mental scars forever.

Here's what he said

"I am not going to lie, I’m in a pretty grim position at the moment. It was a bit freakish, and if I’m being honest, it might cause a bit of head noise with the mental demons the next time I try to dive on my left side,

"It was funny because an over before that I probably had the best stop of my life, and then a few minutes later I had the worst moment of my career."

Sangha's absence leaves a massive void in Thunder's batting line-up, as the Randwick-born slammed 445 in the last edition of the tournament.
