Sanjay Manjrekar names two must-picks for Mumbai Indians in the IPL mini-auction

The IPL 2023 mini-auction is set to take place on December 23 in Kochi. As we gear up for the much-awaited event, fans and experts have begun speculating the potential picks for the franchises. 

Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer and renowned broadcaster Sanjay Manjrekar has come up with a valuable advice for Mumbai Indians. 

Manjrekar, who represented India in 111 international matches, opined that all Mumbai need is a wicket-taking leg spinner and should consider buying someone like Adil Rashid or Adam Zampa in the mini-auction. 

Here's what Manjrekar said

"They (MI) have let go of Murugan Ashwin. There was Markande with them. Rahul Chahar, they should never have let him go, he has gone, so maybe an overseas spinner somebody like a Zampa or an Adil Rashid will be perfect for them."

Notably, Mumbai Indians have been searching for a quality spinner since releasing Rahul Chahar ahead of the 2022 mega auction. 

Although they have strengthened their fast bowling arsenal, including the likes of Jason Behrendorff and Jofra Archer, they must find a solution to their spin bowling woes in the mini-auction.
