After a defining performance in the first Test against Bangladesh, the Indian team will be looking to continue their momentum when they enter the second Test on 22nd December. With some decent knocks and high-class bowling, the Men in Blue always looked on top under stand-in skipper KL Rahul's captaincy.

Rahul was asked to lead the side in the absence of regular captain Rohit Sharma who injured his thumb in the second ODI of this series. The Mumbai-born was ruled out of the third ODI and first Test but was kept on hold for the final game of the tour.

Now, with barely four days left for the final match to begin, his availability is still unknown. India management is still awaiting his fitness update which could potentially come out in a day or two mentioned Rahul.

“About Rohit, we may be able to know (his status) in the next day or two, even I am not aware of it."

KL's statement came in the post-match presentation where he praised his side for playing exceedingly well in the format which they last played in July.

Moreover, the game was extremely crucial for India as the win in this one helped them get past Sri Lanka and South Africa on the World Test Championship points table.
