After a heavy defeat against India in the first Test at Chattogram, Bangladesh's team have announced the inclusion of uncapped left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed for the second Test in place of injured Ebadot Hossain.

The inclusion of Ahmed, a spinner, is on the terms of Bangladesh being unsure of Shakib Al Hasan's availability to bowl which was mentioned by their coach Russell Domingo. The shoulder injury along with Umran Malik's delivery in the ODI series that hit him on the ribs have been a cause of concern for the Tigers' skipper.

Hossain suffered a back injury which now has cut short his series while batter Anamul Haque has been left out. Meanwhile, Mominul Haque, former Test skipper continues to find himself in the squad despite not being able to feature in the previous game.

However, coach Domingo believes Haque is an important member of the squad and will surely be considered for selection.

What selector Habibul Bashar said

"Ebadot received an injury on his back in the first Test. He will not be fit for the second Test. That's why we took Nasum in his place though we have yet to decide whether we would play an extra spinner in Dhaka."

Bangladesh squad for 2nd Test: Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mominul Haque, Yasir Ali, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan (c), Litton Das, Nurul Hasan, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Taskin Ahmed, Khaled Ahmed, Zakir Hasan, Rejaur Rahman Raja.
