It's just a loss: Chris Green looking for positives after being bowled out for 15

Sydney Thunder entered their name in the history books for most unwanted records as they were bowled out for just 15 in their Big Bash League game against Adelaide Strikers -- the lowest score in the history of T20 cricket.

The Sydney-based club couldn't even survive the entire powerplay and skittled out in 5.5 overs. Brendan Doggett's score of four runs was the highest individual score for any Sydney Thunder batter in the match.

The likes of Rilee Rossouw, Alex Ross, Daniel Sams, Fazalhaq Farooqi, and Oliver Davies were some of the other batters who opened the scoring but couldn't breach the 4-run mark. A total of 5 batters were dismissed for ducks.

There's no doubt that this scorecard as well as the match will be remembered for years. But given the paced nature of T20 cricket, players have moved on from the shambolic loss.

Chris Green, the Thunder spinner also opened up on the embarrassing defeat to Adelaide Strikers and shared his opinion during an interaction with the Herald.

“There is no point kicking the can about it. We’ve got to continue to be positive. It’s important that we stick together. Life’s not that bad. It’s just a loss.

“It was a bit of a crazy night, but it’s a loss nonetheless. I wake up feeling the same way after any loss. I’m not someone who enjoys losing at the best of times."

"I think it’s important as a group to just see it as a loss and move on. It was a crazy scorecard for sure but if we dwell on that loss we can read into it and try and find things that aren’t actually happening.”

Sydney Thunder will next lock horns with Melbourne Renegades at Docklands Stadium, Melbourne. Green believes that it will be a great opportunity for the men in lime green to restore their reputation as a team.

“We’re looking forward to the opportunity to play tomorrow against Melbourne and an opportunity to strike back against the Strikers in Adelaide on Tuesday."
