India Women's star opener Shafali Verma made an interesting remark ahead of India's must-win match against Australia Women on Saturday, December 17.

The Haryana-born stated that facing Australia Women feels like playing against a men's team as they are too strong and one has to bring their best game to defeat them.

Here's what Shafali said on the eve of the fourth T20I against Australia:

"When I play against Australia Women, it feels like I'm competing against Men because they are like that only. If they see a weakness in your game, they'll jump on it. You've to be at your best against them."

"You're not allowed to make any mistake against them, and have to play your best shots. I also learn a lot by playing against them. It's a lot of fun playing against them."

"It feels great to score against Australia. I don't get that feeling of happiness against any other team because it feels like I've improved my game when I score against the best team."

Shafali played a stellar knock of 52 runs from 41 balls in the third T20I and provided India with a flying start. However, the Women in Blue failed to capitalize on the good start and fell 21 runs short of the target while chasing 173 at Brabourne Stadium.

India currently trails 1-2 in the five-match T20I series. They won the second T20I match in the thrilling super over. Going forward, they need to win the fourth T20I, set to be played in Brabourne Stadium on Saturday, December 17 to stay alive in the series.
