It was an eventful day for Team India as they strengthen their grip in the ongoing first Test match at Chattogram.

Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara struck majestic centuries and steered India to a pole position for a win in the opening Test. Gill brought up his maiden Test ton and was eventually dismissed for 110. On the other hand, Pujara notched up his 19th Test century and his fastest in terms of balls faced (130).

Speaking to the official broadcaster after the game, Gill expressed happiness on his performance and certainly believes that he has got the monkey off his back (after scoring his maiden ton).

Gill delighted

"It was long time coming. It thought it's been a while since I've got my first century. (In the 90's) it was all about how to play according to the field, and how to be able to score.

It was very instinctive (on reaching the hundred). I saw the gap, it was all about pacing the innings. You have to know when is the right time to attack," Gill said after the day's play.

Talking about the match, India declared their second innings at 258-2, giving a mammoth target of 513 to Bangladesh. At stumps on Day 4, the hosts are placed at 42 for the loss of no wickets.
