In a significant development, Sydney Thunder have recorded the lowest-ever total in the history of Men's T20s.

The Thunder fell flat against Adelaide Strikers' robust bowling unit, being bowled out for a paltry 15 in 5.5 overs. This is also the lowest team total in the Big Bash League.

  • 57 by Melbourne Renegades vs Melbourne Stars
  • 60 by Melbourne Renegades vs Sydney Sixers
  • 61 by Melbourne Stars vs Sydney Sixers
  • 68 by Adelaide Strikers vs Melbourne Stars

Bowling first, the Thunder restricted the Strikers to 139, courtesy of a tremendous three-for by Fazalhaq Farooqi. However, in reply, their batters couldn't put up a fight, making their way back to the dugout one after the other. No Thunder batter even managed a double-digit score.

The collapse started with Matthew Gilkes being dismissed for a duck by Matthew Short in the very first over. Then, the two seamers, Henry Thornton and Wes Agar didn't let the Thunder batters breathe peacefully on the spicy track.

While Thornton scalped five wickets, Agar claimed a sensational four-for for just six runs. Their valiant efforts led the Strikers to a memorable 124-run victory.
