Harmanpreet Kaur becomes the most capped player in Women's T20Is

Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur on Wednesday (December 14) became the player with the most appearances in the Women's T20Is. She achieved the unique feat in the third fixture of the bilateral T20I series against Australia at Brabourne Stadium. 

Harmanpreet has now been a part of the 140 T20Is to date, while making her debut in the shortest format in June 2009 against Pakistan. So far, the 33-year-old has amassed 2736 runs, with eight fifties and a solitary century, and has also been handy to bag 32 wickets. 

Recently, Harmanpreet became the first India captain to secure 50 wins in the T20I format. She holds a winning percentage of 61.59 while bagging 50 wins in 85 matches. She leapfrogged players like MS Dhoni (41), Rohit Sharma (39) and Virat Kohli (30). 

Former skipper of England Charlotte Edwards and Australia's Meg Lanning have 68 wins as a captain in the T20Is. 

In terms of most T20I appearances, Suzie Bates ranks second followed by Danielle Wyatt, Alyssa Healy and Ellyse Perry.

As far as the third T20I is concerned, Australia have slammed 68 runs for the loss of two wickets in eight overs. Renuka Thakur and Anjali Sarvani accounted for the wickets of Alyssa Healy and Tahlia McGrath respectively.
