In an unfortunate turn of events, legendary former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff has been hospitalised following a car accident. The crash occurred when Flintoff, along with a crew, at was filming for BBC's TV show 'Top Gear' at the Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey. 

The BBC, in its official statement, revealed that crew medical staff attended Flintoff and rushed him to hospital for further treatment. 


Here's what the statement read

"Freddie was injured in an accident at the Top Gear test track this morning - with crew medics attending the scene immediately. He has been taken to hospital for further treatment and we will confirm more details in due course."

Meanwhile, a reliable source has informed 'The Sun' that the filming has been postponed and expected the English great to recover soon. 

"All the usual health and safety measures were in place for filming too. Freddie was taken to hospital by air ambulance shortly afterwards. Filming has been postponed for now and all anyone cares about is Freddie recovering."

Hailed as one of the finest all-rounders to grace the game, Flintoff represented England in 227 international matches, scoring 7315 runs and scalping 321 wickets across formats. 

The major highlight of his career was a string of incredible outings that helped the Englishmen record a famous series win against Australia in the Ashes 2005.
