In what could be coming as an interesting development, defending champions Gujarat Titans have conducted player trials before the IPL auction 2023 at their home base Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

Around 52 players appeared for the camp which was held on the 8th and 9th of December with ample opportunity to domestic cricketers.

Head coach of the franchise and former Indian pacer Ashish Nehra expressed that they are moving on to the next edition after having a fabulous inaugural season.

“Winning the Tata IPL at our home ground was a memorable feeling. We are now gearing up for the next season and really looking forward to it."

Furthermore, Titans' director of cricket Vikram Solanki mentioned that they had a great chance and proper look at some of the domestic talents that featured in the camp.

“It is always great to come back to our home — the Narendra Modi Stadium. As we get ready for the Tata IPL Auction, the player trials have given us the perfect opportunity to have a look at some promising players."

The Ahmedabad-based franchise actively took part in the trade before the retention announcement, trading Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Lockie Ferguson to Kolkata Knight Riders.
