India take on Bangladesh in the third and final One-Day International (ODI) of the three-match series tomorrow at Chattogram in hopes of denying the home side a series whitewash. India, who lost their first two ODIs, will head into the match with several injury concerns, which have added to the team's downfall apart from poor batting and lapses on the field.

One of the only bright spots during this disastrous tour has been Washington Sundar's form. Sundar, making his return, has so far claimed five wickets at an average of 10.80

Ahead of the Chattogram ODI, Sundar speaking with the media, talked about how India takes each match as an opportunity to improve and get better looking ahead to the 2023 World Cup.

“Every game is an opportunity for us to keep getting better, to get the right rhythm, and obviously, perform really well as a team. There is not going to be many games in the next 10 months or so, so every game is very important for us, we want to play a very good brand of cricket no matter who we are playing.

“Our job is to play to our potential and keep getting better whenever we have to. That’s the kind of mindset we are in and we will keep looking to improve,"

Sundar, who has been troubled with injuries for the past year or so, said that he is continuously working on his batting, mainly focusing on power hitting, given his role in the squad.

In the limited chances, Sundar has impressed with both ball and bat having taken 13 wickets and scored 175 runs in 11 ODIs since 2017.
