The Indian cricket team succumbed to their second loss in the One-Day International (ODI) against Bangladesh and thus lost their second consecutive 50-overs series in Bangladesh.

Much like the first ODI, Team India, from a position of dominance faulted and failed to grab on to an opportunity to draw the series level after downing Bangladesh to 69 for 6 before Mahmudullah and Mehidy Hasan Miraz snitched a record 148-run stand to boost the hosts' total to 271.

Another collective batting failure witnessed India go down miserably. An injured Rohit Sharma came out to bat No.9 and scored an unbeaten 28-ball 51 to save India embarrassment, losing the match by five runs.

When asked about India's poor showing in both batting and bowling in the series so far in the post-match conference, coach Rahul Dravid said that the management focused on T20s but now are shifting its priorities to ODIs.

“In the last two years, we had prioritised T20s a lot as there were two World Cups. In the next 8-10 months, we will be prioritising ODI cricket. It is not easy to juggle three formats. Now, our white ball boys (specialists) will get some rest with Test matches being played,"

India will look to play for pride in the third and final ODI on December 10, and deny Bangladesh a clean-sweep.
