The International Cricket Council has named nominees for the Player of the Month Award for the month of November 2022. Among the men's cricketers two Englishman and one Pakistan speedster, i.e. Jos Buttler, Adil Rashid and Shaheen Afridi. Meanwhile, the women nominees are Gaby Lewis, Natthakan Chantham and Sidra Ameen

Various eyebrows have been after looking at the choices that the ICC has made. In the latest concluded series between India and New Zealand - Tom Latham, Kane Williamson, Suryakumar Kumar and Tim Southee played extremely well; but none of them was picked.

Meanwhile, Ben Stokes who played the once in lifetime during the final of the T20 World Cup 2022, was also not picked as a nominee.

Men's Nominees for Player of the Month

All three men's nominees were hand-picked from the recently concluded T20 World Cup, where Buttler and Rashid took England to the final.

The English skipper was chosen for his wonders of 80* against India in the semifinal. The wily spinner grapped the eyeballs after having a turnaround midway through the World Cup for good.

Shaheen, on the other hand, was one prime reason for Pakistan reaching the final of the pinnacle tournament; and thus was rewarded by getting picked as a nominee.

Ameen, who scored a historic 176 not out and an unbeaten 91, has been named one of the nominees for her Player of the Series performance in the ODIs against Ireland. The Irish skipper has been picked out for truimphing a T20I series win in Pakistan. Thailand's aggresive opener is the last one on the list as she was the chief-architect for thrashing the Netherlands 4-nil.
