West Indies have a fresh injury blow as fast bowler Jayden Seales is unlikely to play in the Adelaide Test due to a knee pain. Seales was held back from bowling until late in Australia's second innings in the first Test match.

Apart from Seales, Kemar Roach and Kyle Mayers are also battling with injuries and are being monitored ahead of the second Test.

Roach is in serious doubt after hobbling off the field on Day 4 with a hamstring injury. He did recover to bat on the final day, but the extend of his injury is still unclear.

On the other hand, Mayers has a shoulder issue to deal with. He did not bowl after the first day in Perth, but could still play as a potential batter in the next game.

Seales' injury a cause of worry?

West Indies' assistant coach, Roddy Estwick talks about the seriousness of the injury

"He's been having one or two niggles as well with his left knee. He will be assessed and we'll then see if he can go through the next game."

Estwick added: "The Pitch in Australia are a lot harder. The pitch is so slow and good for batting. It actually took a lot out of the bodies."

If Seales doesn't recover on time, West Indies could bring in Marquino Mindley, who arrived in Adelaide on Tuesday.
