In a huge development, India's wicket-keeper batter, Rishabh Pant will not take any further part in the Bangladesh limited overs series and has been released from the ODI squad after careful consideration with the medical team.

However, the southpaw will make a comeback for the Test series against Bangladesh, slated to begin on December 14. Seems like Pant is nursing an injury, but the extend of which is still unclear.

In a statement by BCCI, no replacement has been announced as of yet.

During India's tour of New Zealand recently, Pant was having issues with his back, and it seems the injury has been giving him tough times as of late.

As far as the first ODI is concerned, Bangladesh won the toss and have elected to bowl first. Kuldeep Sen makes his India debut. In the absence of Pant, KL Rahul will keep wickets for India. Shahbaz Ahmed gets another chance to make a strong case for his inclusion in the Indian side.
