Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan, who has played alongside Hardik Pandya in Gujarat Titans reckons that the Indian all-rounder has all the skills to lead the Indian side if given the opportunity.

Ever-since India had a shocking exit from the T20 World Cup, people have been questioning Rohit Sharma's leadership skills and have touted Pandya to be the future Indian leader.

Rashid lauds Pandya

"I have played under Hardik Pandya's captaincy. He has the leadership qualities and the skills to take team forward, he showed the same in IPL. It is the Indian cricket boards' call to name the next captain, but i've enjoyed a lot playing under him."

Pandya guided Gujarat Titans to the IPL title in their maiden attempt. He won 11 out of 15 games in the competition and scored more than 400 runs with the bat. Recently he steered India to a 1-0 T20I series win against New Zealand and made a strong case for himself as a potential India captain in the long run.
