On Sunday, hosts Bangladesh will lock horns with India in the first ODI of the three-match series in Dhaka.

Ahead of the crucial clash, Indian captain Rohit Sharma has heaped praise on Bangladesh, clarifying the Men in Blue won't take the hosts lightly, considering their massive improvement as a white-ball team.

Rohit recalled how Bangladesh have always given India a run for the money, citing the example of the recent T20 World Cup face-off, where the Men in Blue sealed a narrow five-run win.

Here's what Rohit said in the pre-match presser

"For the last 7-8 years, Bangladesh has been a different side. They have been a challenging team,

"We have not had easy wins against them and had to play good cricket against them to win. It was close during the ICC T20 World Cup. We lost a series in 2015 here. By no means we have come here thinking it is going to be a cakewalk for us. They are a very improved team."

Meanwhile, Rohit will be making his comeback to ODI cricket after five months in this series. The Indian captain had a torrid time with the bat in the T20 World Cup and will aim at a resurgence when he takes the field against the Tigers.
