I would've been hurting but those came off Kohli's bat and he is a different class: Haris Rauf

Virat Kohli's scintillating knock against Pakistan at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Stadium in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is still fresh in people's memories. Needing 28 off 8, Kohli produced a thinkable six off Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf over his head, which the ICC also hailed as the shot of the tournament.

Kohli's consecutive sixes in the penultimate over turned the match around in India's favour. Rauf, who has bowled a magnificent spell of 3.4 overs, was cantered in his final two deliveries, which according to the young speedster only Kohli could have managed.

Speaking to Cricwick, the Lahore Qalandars bowler hailed Kohli for pulling off those shots against him.

Interestingly, even before his international fame, Rauf bowled to Kohli in the nets during India's 2019-2020 Australia tour.

“The way he played in the World Cup, that is his class, we all know the types of shots he plays. And the way he hit those sixes, I don’t think any other player can hit shots like those off my bowling. If Dinesh Karthik or Hardik Pandya would’ve hit those sixes, I would’ve been hurting but those came off Kohli’s bat and he is a different class altogether,"

Kohli will be seen in against Bangladesh as India travels to their neighbours for a three-ODI and two-Test tour starting December 4.
