Former Indian pacer S Sreesanth is currently mentoring the Bangla Tigers in the 2022 Abu Dhabi T10 league. The Tigers, placed at number six in the eight-team standings as of now, recently defeated the Delhi Bulls by 11 runs at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

While T10 remains a relatively new form of the game, Sreesanth has expressed his views on how a bowler must approach the format.

Sreesanth believes bowlers must look for wickets in T10 cricket

The Bangla Tigers have lost three of their first five matches of the tournament. The Shakib Al Hasan-led side need to win their remaining fixtures in order to entertain any chances for the next stage.

Amidst the Tigers’ struggles in the competition, team mentor and player S Sreesanth has said that his bowling unit needs to be more consistent. He said:

“As a bowling unit, we have to be more consistent. And we have 3 more games to and we have to win the games well so that the NRR is boosted as well.”

The cricketer also spoke about T10 from the point of view of a bowler. He hailed the format for its fast nature and said that bowlers need to back themselves for wickets in it, instead of just saving runs.

“It's the fastest format and it's a lot of fun. And when you're bowling to dangerous batters, you have to back yourself. As a bowler, you have to believe you can get wickets and not think about the runs as much. I am really enjoying it so far.”
