With each passing day, we are moving one step towards the IPL mini-auction. With plenty of big names up for grabs, the auction will be competitive between the eight concerned franchises.

Cameron Green is one of the overseas names, who the experts are expecting to grab a million-dollar deal in the mini-auction. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting has hinted that they will go hard after Green in the auction.

While speaking to Australia head coach Andrew McDonald as a broadcaster for Seven cricket, Ponting revealed that he is interested in Green and wants to know about his availability in the IPL.

Here's what Ponting said to McDonald

"May be not one for here and now on air right now, but keep your phone on tonight because I am really interested to have the IPL conversation with you about Cameron Green. Because I freed up a fair bit of money for the Delhi Capitals this year and I want to know how much he is actually going to be available. So, keep your phone on."

Green has been impressive with both bat and ball for Australia across formats. Besides scoring 1152 runs, the Western Australian has scalped 32 wickets in 36 appearances across formats.
