Despite being an extremely talented cricketer, Rishabh Pant has blown hot and cold in ODIs and T20Is. Regarded as one of the fiercest hitter of the leather, Pant is yet to make a statement in limited overs cricket, managing 1842 runs at a mediocre average of 27.08.

Although the swashbuckling southpaw hammered a match-winning hundred on the England tour, he recorded successive failures in the New Zealand series. Considering his inconsistency, Indian fans and experts demanded his axing.

However, Pant seems to be unfazed by the criticism surrounding his batting form, as he doesn't think his white-ball stats are underwhelming. Further, the Delhi batter thinks comparing him to someone else is unfair, as he is only 25 years old.

Here's what Pant stated

"The record is just a number. My white-ball numbers are not that bad. Comparison does not make sense right now, I am just 24-25 years age of age. If you want to do the comparison, you can maybe do it when I am 30-32. Before that, the comparison does not make sense to me."

Meanwhile, Pant registered another failure with the bat, being dismissed for a 16-ball 10 in the ongoing third ODI in New Zealand. With the likes of Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan competing him for a spot, Pant badly needs a dream run in white-ball cricket.
