One of the most anticipated Test series gets underway on December 1, when hosts Pakistan clash against visitors England in the first Test in Rawalpindi.

England, who will play their first Test on Pakistani soil after 2005, will want to make the tour even more historic by winning the three-match series.

James Anderson, the only player remaining from the squad that toured Pakistan seventeen years ago during the press conference, revealed that the Ben Stokes-led side wants to win the series, irrespective of conditions or pitches being on offer.

Anderson, who will have a new bowling partner in Ollie Robinson, sounded excited about bowling with the young lad.

Here's what Anderson said

"It is winning the series that is important for us. No matter what the conditions and playing surfaces are, we want to end up winning the series. We are well prepared to achieve that. I am not a good reader of the pitches but whatever the conditions are, our efforts would be to put pressure on Pakistan and win the series,

"Robinson is skillful and wants to learn with every game. We talk quite a lot and hopefully would make the best of the opportunity coming our way.”

Meanwhile, England have named a strong playing XI for the first Test, handing the T20 specialist Liam Livingstone his debut red-ball cap.
