With NCA head, VVS Laxman and his coaching team currently with the Indian side in New Zealand, former Saurashtra captain Sitanshu Kotak has been given the charge of the India A side for the Bangladesh tour.

He will be assisted by Troy Cooley, Australian bowling coach at NCA and the fielding coach of India, T Dilip.

Dilip was given a rest following India's exit from the T20 World Cup, but he'll now travel with the A squad, before joining the senior team for the Bangladesh series.

Former India opener, SS Das, also part of the NCA staff wasn't considered for the A tour as he is one of the contenders to become the new chief selector of the Indian team.

The India A squad is being led by Abhimanyu Easwaran, and they touched down in Bangladesh on Saturday and underwent their first training session.

The first 4-day fixture begins from November 29, while the second 4-dayer kicks start from December 6 in Sylhet.
