South Africa's first-ever global T20 league, the SA20, is all set to commence from January next year. Cricket fans from across the globe are excited for the tournament, as the IPL franchises have invested in it.

Meanwhile, swashbuckling South Africa keeper-batter Quinton de Kock has revealed his expectations from the tournament.

Addressing the SA20 as a revolution in South African cricket, De Kock explained how the league can serve as a boon for the budding local cricketers.

Here's what De Kock stressed

"Pretty much it's a new tournament, so, I guess looking forward to the unexpected, we've had a couple of these tournaments, and there hasn't been one in a while. Obviously, it's a quite big event, I think this would be one of the bigger events in the local franchise system,

"A lot of youngsters who haven't been part of the big tournament will be involved in this, so it will be good for the new guys and obviously for the guys who've been around in serving cricket. This is also new for us, so, this would be amazing another new comp, so I can't wait."

Notably, De Kock will represent the Durban Super Giants, alongside the likes of Heinrich Klaasen, Kyle Mayers, Jason Holder, Keshav Maharaj and Dwaine Pretorius, in the first edition of SA20. The Super Giants will lock horns with Jo'burg Super Kings on January 11 in Durban.
