Sri Lanka will lock horns with Afghanistan in the first fixture of the ODI series on Friday (November 25) at Pallekele. 

In their last ODI series, the Dasun Shanaka-led side secured a 3-2 victory over Australia and will be confident about their abilities. They will rely on Kusal Mendis and Dhananjaya de Silva on the batting front, while Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana are the quality bowlers. 

On the other hand, the Afghanistan team led by Hashmatullah Shahidi secured a 3-0 clean sweep against Zimbabwe in their last ODI series. The trio of Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman will again be the potent wicket-taking options for them.
