Former Ireland all-rounder, Kim Garth earns her maiden Australia call-up for their T20I tour of India.

Garth has represented Ireland women in 85 matches after making her debut as a 14-year-old in 2010. However, she moved to Australia a decade later and signed a contract with Victoria.

Last year she earned her permanent residency and earlier this year after completing a three year since her arrival from Ireland - she became eligible to represent the World champions.

The ongoing Women's Big Bash League season has been a fruitful one for the all-rounder. She has scalped 12 wickets for the Stars and was the leading wicket-taker for them in the previous edition.

Apart from Garth, the other two promising youngsters in the squad are Phoebe Litchfield, and Heather Graham, who already has one ODI appearance to her name. She has been rewarded for a stellar WBBL season with Hobart Hurricanes.

It's pleasing to have been able to reward Phoebe, Kim and Heather for strong form throughout the WBBL and hopefully they get the chance to show what they can do at some stage during the series," Shawn Flegler, Australia's Head of Performance and National Selector said.

Australia women's T20I tour of India starts from December 9.
