Hailed as India's Mr 360 degree, Suryakumar Yadav hammered a breathtaking 51-ball 111*, helping India steamroll New Zealand in the second T20I in Mount Maunganui.

Meanwhile, swashbuckling New Zealand keeper-batter Finn Allen has expressed his admiration for the Indian sensation. On being asked to name the players he commends, Allen took the name of Virat Kohli but revealed his aspiration to be a batter like Suryakumar Yadav.

Here's what Allen stated

"In terms of guys that I admire, obviously the way Virat has gone about. He had a little bit of a tough time of late, and then to come out the way he has in the last few months and persevered through those challenges is very admirable,

"But I really love watching Surya (Kumar Yadav) play. He is the No. 1 batter in the world at the moment and for good measure, I think. He is incredible. Some of the shots he plays are out of this world and he is someone I would strive to be like for sure."

Yadav has been phenomenal in the shortest format since his debut and recently became the first Indian batter to amass 1000 T20I runs in a single calendar year.

Furthermore, he recently had a stellar T20 World Cup campaign, slamming 239 runs at an average of 59.75 and a strike rate of 189.68.
