England cricket has been heavily criticised after their poor outing in the 2nd ODI of the series against Australia.

The batting has been labelled as 'reckless' and 'poor' as the visitors lost their last seven wickets for just 52 runs, despite boasting a deep batting lineup.

The win sealed yet another series win for the Aussies who have an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match series.

Speaking to BBC, Australian spinner Chris Green was highly critical of England's batting performance.

"England had the game in complete control with the partnership of Sam Billings and James Vince, but you've got to say it was poor batting after that. The dismissals were reckless and they didn't show much fight at all."

Not only Green, but former Australian pacer, Stuart Clarke has blasted the way England approach the run chase.

What did Clarke say?

"England are not at their best to be fair. They are on their way down from the highs of the World Cup, while Australia have a point to prove after crashing out.

They've got to create good habits, good partnerships and working as a team. Spots will be up for grabs, so everyone's got to be playing well," Clarke said.

Australia and England will now collide in the 3rd ODI on Tuesday at the iconic MCG.
