Rassie van der Dussen has become one of the batting mainstays in Tests for South Africa over the past few years. Dussen is currently playing for the Lions in domestic cricket and is returning to the game after spending nine months nursing a finger injury.

Dussen, 33, will be back in action for South Africa during their upcoming three-match Test tour of Australia, which will also be his first-time Down Under. Playing against Australia in their backyard comes in with many mental and physical challenges.

Speaking to IOL sports, the middle-order batter said one has to be prepared to play in Australia under the right mental state, or the opponents will exploit that weakness.

Here's what Dussen stated

“You have to prepare almost for the worst in terms of pressure, skill, abuse and all those lovely things Australia brings. The next two or three weeks, the aim is to really get out of my comfort zone and make sure the training is harder than (playing) is out there.”

The Dean Elgar-led side will travel to Australia between December 9 and January 17 to play three Tests and ODIs.
