Delhi expected to host Test after five years during series against Australia

In what could be massive series in context of the ICC Test Championship, Australia will be touring India for a four-match Test series which will played in the months of February-March. The 'Border-Gavaskar Trophy' as they call it will be extremely crucial for both the sides as it will be the final assignment for them to make it through to finals of the event.

Australia led by skipper Pat Cummins will be eying to dominate India at their home ground and therefore, will be eagerly waiting to know the conditions beforehand so that they could come up with right personnel.

Now, the BCCI is expected to announce the venues for the series in due time with Delhi, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Dharamsala and Hyderabad in consideration. Chennai or Hyderabad could be handed with the responsibility of first Test, while Delhi with second, Dharamsala with third and Ahmedabad with fourth. Moreover, with one of them being day/night affair.

"Delhi is likely to host the second of the four Test matches as of now. The dates will be out as and when the Tours and Fixtures committee hold its meeting. Dharamsala, which hosted its first and only Test almost six years back, against Australia in March 2017, will probably host the third Test."
