Celebrations have lit up England as the Three Lions defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets in the finals of the T20 World Cup 2022 to clinch their second World title in the shortest format of the game.

After a tough start in the group stages win rain spoiling the party for England, qualification seemed tough for the side, but England managed to hold their nerve as they managed to qualify for the knockout stages of the tournament.

With a dominating win over India in their semi-finals England managed to get the upperhand over Pakistan in the finals to lift their second title. English skipper Jos Buttler was elated after the win and spoke on the massive win,

"It is very good to win the T20 World Cup. I am immensely proud of everyone who made this happen. It has been a fantastic tournament,"

"We went to Pakistan before this tournament, and it helped us to prepare well. Even after the loss against Ireland, we were almost down and out. But to overcome that one and win the next matches and become the champions is a special thing."

England have been one of the best sides when it comes to the shortest format of the game and now the World Cup title to their name proves that England have officially entered a new era under the leadership of Jos Buttler.
