Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar came out with all guns blazing at Rohit Sharma and Co., mentioning that India lacked on various fronts in the T20 World Cup 2022.

It could not have been worse for the Indian team, who suffered an annihilation at the hands of England in the semi-final of the ongoing tournament.

After India's 10-wicket drubbing, Akhtar cited that they did not deserve to go to the final of the competition, undermining their victories against Zimbabwe and the Netherlands in the group stage.

The legendary seamer also explained how the lack of a wicket-taker cost India the tournament.

Here is what Akhtar said on his YouTube channel

"India don't have express fast bowlers or impactful spinners. They had a confusing selection. Their pacers can perform if conditions suit them,

"What's so big in reaching semis? There were 4 good teams in total. You beat Netherlands and Zimbabwe, nothing big. India need to look at their leadership, management needs to take accountability. It was a confusing selection."

Meanwhile, for India, they will again head back to the drawing board. However, with a chock-a-block schedule in place, they will not have much time to ponder as the New Zealand challenge awaits them.
