The much-anticipated second semi-final of the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup will be played between Rohit Sharma-led India and England at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday, November 10.

India made their way to the semi-final of the T20 World Cup for the fourth time by finishing at the top of the table in Group 2, while England finished the league stage in second place in Group 1.

Kevin Pietersen poured his thoughts on England's much-awaited clash against the Blue Brigade and stated that Jos Buttler-led side is peaking at the right time after being thumped by Ireland in the early stage of the tournament.

The former England captain also backed England to beat India in the semi-final of the marquee event. Pietersen, named player of the tournament in 2010, also said that he wants Virat Kohli to have a day off on Thursday.

Here's what Pietersen told BetWay

"At the Adelaide Oval, I think England beat India. With the quality running through the England side, I really do. But I just need Virat to have a day off,

"Tournament cricket is about peaking at the right time. It's about winning the right games, getting to the knockouts, and then winning the final. Let's not worry about what's happened in the group stage."

Pietersen further added that he is happy to see Kohli back to his best in the showpiece tournament, but at the same time, he wants him to "have a little bit of a break on Thursday" against England.

"He didn't have that for a few years, and he lost his way. But the crowds are in, it's a T20 World Cup in Australia – one of the greatest places to play T20 cricket – and the King is back. As a close friend, I'm very happy for him, but I would like him to have a little bit of a break on Thursday!"
