In an unfortunate turn of events, experienced speedster T Natarajan has been ruled out of the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy due to injury. Natarajan, who has represented India in seven matches across formats, has been replaced by M Mohammed in Tamil Nadu's 15-member squad for the domestic One-Day competition.

The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) surfaced the news via an official press release, which read,

"The State Senior Selection Committee of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association has replaced injured T Natarajan with M Mohammed, to play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy (One Day) League Tournament for the Season 2022 2023 to be played at Bengaluru."

Despite being an asset in limited-overs, Natarajan has suffered frequent injury setbacks. The left-arm pacer was impactful in his brief international career, being instrumental in India's historic victory at the Gabba in 2021. However, prolonged fitness issues meant he couldn't live up to the expectations after making early promises.
