This will give us an idea of what we could expect from the final 3 matches of the tournament.

Percentage of wicket by Pacers: 62.65

Percentage of wicket by Spinners: 37.34

What to Expect:

The captain winning the toss will surely look to bat first, as the team batting first has clearly had the advantage in SCG in this World Cup. The pacers have picked up more wickets here than the spinners, but a fact has to be kept in mind is that pacers have bowled about 62% of the overs.

The pitch is way better for batting in the first half of the match and probably gets slower as the game progresses.

Probable Winners

The team batting first might end up winning the match.

What to Expect:

The pitch has been generally supportive of all trades. Scored of 180 plus could be a winning total on the wicket. The record for teams batting first enjoy the best batting conditions as the pitch slows down with the progression of the match. Spinners and Pace bowlers with cutters and slowers in their repertoire will get the benefits of the wicket especially in the second half.

Probable Winners

The team batting first will have greater chances of winning the match.

What to Expect:

The wicket has Melbourne has been the most sporty in this tournament. It has provided something for everyone. The pitch has also stayed even in both the halves and chasing has not looked impossible here.

The toss winner might look to chase down a total as that is something the teams are more comfortable doing these days.

Probable Winners

Toss will not be a big factor in deciding the winner of this match. There are chances that the chasing team might win.
