The upcoming edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022 commences on November 12 and will conclude on December 2. Defending champions Himachal Pradesh have announced a strong 20-member squad for the 50-overs event, which will be captained by all-rounder Rishi Dhawan.

Himachal, who clinched their first-ever domestic title last year, reached the final of the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2022 trophy, where they lost to eventual-winner Mumbai.

Led by Dhawan, Himachal defeated Tamil Nadu in last year's final in Jaipur, winning the match by 11 runs, via the VJD method.

The only change in the VHT 2022 squad is spinner Digvijay Rangi, who gets dropped despite featuring in the SMAT edition.

Regulars like Prashant Chopra, Ankush Bains, Shubham Arora, Amit Kumar Mayank Dagar, and Pankaj Jaiswal find a place in the side, with a mix of youngsters and experience.

Himachal is placed in Elite Group A along with Hyderabad, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Saurashtra, Chandigarh, and Gujarat.

Himachal Pradesh Squad:

Rishi Dhawan (c), Prashant Chopra, Abhimanyu Rana, Raghav Dhawan, Nitin Sharma, Ekant Sen, Ankush Bains, Shubham Arora, Nikhil Gangta, Pankaj Jaiswal, Vaibhav Arora, Kanwar Abhinay, Mayank Dagar, Akash Vasisht, Ankush Bedi, Sidharth Sharma, Sumeet Verma, Amit Kumar, Gurvinder Singh, and Vinay Galetiya.
