On Thursday, England will cross swords against India in the second semifinal of the ongoing T20 World Cup in Sydney. Ahead of this crucial clash, legendary English all-rounder Ben Stokes has lavished praise on two Indian stalwarts, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

The stylish southpaw stressed that Virat Kohli can never be written off, as he has exhibited incredible consistency throughout his career. As the veteran all-rounder put it, Kohli has earned the right to be never disregarded, regardless of his form.

Here's what Stokes said on Kohli

"He has earned the right to be never written off. He has produced the numbers consistently in all three formats. We, as players playing the game, never take the past results in the coming games."

As we know, India captain Rohit Sharma has had a torrid time with the bat in the World Cup, managing only 89 runs across five innings at an ordinary average of 17.80. However, Stokes believes that England should underestimate Rohit at their peril, as he can single-handedly win India the match when on song.

"He (Rohit) is one of the best to play the game, especially in this format. You can't think about their previous performances and play the game. He is a world-class player and we won't be taking him lightly at all."
