Moeen Ali differs from English greats on Harry Brook's 'all-format' player delineation

It may not have been an imposing T20 World Cup 2022 for Harry Brook, however, his limited sample size in international cricket suggests that he has the pedigree to succeed at the big stage.

While the likes of Nasser Hussain and Kevin Pietersen see England cricket's future in the potential superstar, his teammate Moeen Ali argued about a problem that can push him behind from becoming a regular all-format player for The Three Lions.

Moeen stated that if Brook flourishes in the Test arena, then he would have to sacrifice his white-ball career reasonably, considering he is young.

Here is what Moeen said to the Sydney Morning Herald:

"The only problem is, someone like Harry Brook, for example, is in the white-ball side and going to be in the Test side potentially.

"He's going to miss out on one of the formats, and at his age he would be wanting to play Test cricket a lot more than white-ball cricket. So I'm sure if he does well in Test cricket he will be playing that more than white-ball stuff, which makes sense."

Meanwhile, Brook, who is a potent figure in England's middle-order in T20Is, has not been able to make it big in the ongoing World Cup. With his side scheduled to face India in the semi-final on November 10 at Adelaide Oval, he would want to leave a strong impression.
