After some incredible performances for India in the T20 World Cup 2022, legendary Virat Kohli has earned the ICC Player of the Month Award for October along with Pakistan's powerful all-rounder Nida Dar.

Virat Kohli was nominated for the award with South Africa's David Miller and Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza but pipped both of them after some unbelievable performances over the mega-event. His prime knock was against Pakistan where he pulled the match for his side from the jaws of defeat with his breathtaking 82* in a heart-stopping thriller.

Speaking to the ICC, Virat Kohli expressed his joyousness while receiving the award saying that it's a great honour. He also wished other nominees who were the top performers for their sides.

“It is a great honour for me to have been voted the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for October. Being chosen as the standout player by fans across the globe as well as the panel makes this accolade even more special for me,

"I want to pay tribute to the other nominees who performed so well during the month and also to my teammates, who continue to support me to perform to the best of my ability.”
