Australia's T20I skipper Aaron Finch after an early T20 World Cup exit has confirmed he is not going to retire from the format anytime soon. Questions over his future were looming large after he called it quits from the ODI format few months back.

Australia's next T20I assignment will be in August against South Africa which is potentially nine months away from now and in between, he could seen playing in the Big Bash League for Melbourne Renegades.

Last year, Finch led his team to their first ever T20 World Cup title in UAE, despite him not being in form. However, he is clear that retirement is not on the cards as of now.

"No, I'm not going to retire. Not just yet,

"I'll play Big Bash and see where we sit after that, but I'm still enjoying playing cricket, playing T20. There's not another international T20 until August, so there's quite a long break,

"Still plenty of time to be able to weigh all that up. It's been a pretty good ride regardless of what happens."

Finch, meanwhile could also be plying his trade in the domestic T20 leagues all over the globe.
