2022 continues to get better for Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza as the all-rounder registered a massive achievement on Sunday in the 2022 T20 World Cup fixture versus India.

Smashing yet another record while enjoying groundbreaking success, Raza became the first player in the history of T20I cricket to score 500-plus runs and claim 25 wickets in a single calendar year.

Moreover, the 36-year-old broke past the 3000-run barrier in his shortest-format career while also holding his position among the top-scorers in T20Is in 2022.

Zimbabwean trailblazer's tremendous triumph

Raza has spearheaded the Chevrons in every department this year with his ascendancy circling the T20 World Cup 2022.

The Pakistan-born has featured in eight matches in the ongoing competition, having scored over 219 runs and also taken ten wickets at a surreal economy of 6.5.

However, Zimbabwe's only success after the completion of the first round came against Pakistan, as they were handed a crushing 71-run defeat by India in their final Super 12 fixture.
