In a significant milestone for India captain Rohit Sharma, he skippered the national team for the 50th time in the T20I format.

As Rohit achieved the feat in the match versus Zimbabwe, he joined the likes of MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli on the list.

With the experience of 50 T20Is as a captain under his belt, Rohit has led India to victory on 38 occasions, while his team has lost 11 games.

Dhoni and Kohli donned the captaincy hat in 72 and 50 T20Is for India, recording wins in 41 and 30 matches, respectively.

Overall, Aaron Finch is on the numero uno spot in the list, having captained Australia in 76 T20I games.

Troubles intensify for Rohit 'the batter'

Meanwhile, the 35-year-old recorded yet another poor outing with the bat on Sunday, scoring a 13-ball 15 against Zimbabwe.

However, Rohit would have at least one more opportunity to prove his mettle with the bat in the ongoing tournament as India are confirmed of a semi-final berth in the T20 World Cup 2022.
